Adventures

I was in need of a little adventure. Brent was out of town and I was going a tad stir crazy at home with two kids. So I made a plan - take the waterfront water taxi to west Seattle and bike from there to the Car Free Days Festival. It turned out to be a big success (minus the gong show of herding 3 kids and two super sized bikes from the dock to the taxi). 

Lately

Brave

Bennett was so brave today. With some prepping the day before about what to expect for surgery, he was able to express to us sincerely that he didn't want to go because it would be scary. Fair enough buddy. But we all held hands and got through the morning. And he did amazing. Every part of it was smooth - minus the death grip and super sad face when daddy handed him off to the anesthesiologist. But he was in such great hands. And we got the sweetest note from the OR nurse. So proud. As we walked to our car he even said, "That was fun!" It may have been the morphine talking but either way, I'd call that a success.

Surgery

Prayers for this guy (and his nervous, worried Momma). His tonsils and adenoids are making their departure tomorrow. Hopeful this will help with his snoring, sleeping, and general rested-ness.

Sick girl

I can't hardly stand that Clara is already entering the stage of constant motion and activity where snuggles are mostly reserved for bedtime. She's been hit pretty hard this cold season and is battling yet another little virus. Poor girl. Silver lining: extra loves and hugs.
